Congratulations to our Technical Project Manager Preston Ward on successfully completing IES Montreal’s lighting training program.

This year, we are excited to celebrate our 15th year in business. When the company was founded in 2009, LED technology for general lighting was still in its infancy; product availability was limited, and the market was mostly unaware of its advantages. LED lighting solutions along with intelligent control systems have evolved immensely since then, both in terms of product development and cost. Users are now aware of LED’s benefits, and the technology has become the new global standard.
Concept Illumination began as a solo operation mainly selling small quantities of LED bulbs to re-lamp office building lobbies with high ceilings. Today, our team is proud to work on large scale retrofit and new construction projects alike, with the ability to propose indoor and outdoor solutions from dozens of manufacturers.
Looking to the future, we are eager to add value to new projects by continuing to leverage our experience and knowledge. As the industry continues to evolve, our devotion to the highest standard of customer service remains constant. It is this commitment to our customers that will allow us to continue building a strong reputation in our industry.
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and sincerely thank our team members, suppliers, customers, and partners who have contributed to our growth. Here’s to many more years of collaboration and success!

Concept Illumination will be at LEDucation in New York City this Tuesday and Wednesday March 19th and 20th to see the latest in lighting and controls technology. The funds will go to the foundation and Kids Help Phone Counsellor in the Classroom initiative. Bravo to the winners and to all the other parties involved who made the event a huge success.

Valeco Energie Québec Inc. is a renewable energy development company found on the edge of Frédérick-Back park in Montreal. Recently, the area has seen significant aesthetic investment from the City of Montreal to make it more appealing for residents both by day and night. As part of the City’s rejuvenation efforts, Biomont was approached with an architectural façade lighting design. The proposed design featured lighting from above of the building’s vertical blue channels with white light, partnered with a wash of blue light for the north-face (park-side) of the facility’s flare.
New wiring was installed to power 15 compact architectural LED flood lights on the building’s north, south, and west sides. A 5000K colour temperature was chosen to accentuate the blue channels and a very narrow, 5-degree lens was used to reduce the light spill from inside the channel onto the building’s corrugated siding. Underground wiring and 2 new concrete bases were installed and fitted with blue architectural LED flood lights to light up the flare. The 13 remaining functional fixtures on the façade were replaced with LED wall packs, also in 5000K, to maintain colour consistency throughout.

The LHB04 is an energy efficient replacement for traditional fluorescent and HID fixtures. Its modern design and flexibility make this linear high bay ideal for warehouses, factories, workshops, and other high ceiling applications.
